The tech IC going for senior, staff or principal

Levelling is the invisible variable in every senior tech interview. System design rounds, the scope question that separates L5 from L6, behavioural anchors calibrated to the right level. Our senior engineering practitioners run full mocks at L4 through L7 and give you the feedback the actual panel would give.

The lawyer moving for a partnership-track or lateral role

Lateral interviews are a different animal. Your book of business, your billing rate narrative, equity versus salaried partner conversations -- these are not covered in any generic interview guide. Our senior legal practitioners have sat in the room you are walking into. They know what the hiring partner is actually listening for.

The clinician interviewing for consultant or senior NHS roles

NHS consultant panels can have seven to ten people. The structured competency section and the "soft" rapport section feel very different -- and both are assessed formally. Our former NHS consultants and medical directors have run these panels. They will simulate the format and debrief you honestly afterwards.

The Big Four or consulting candidate

Case interviews at director and partner level are not the same as associate-level cases. The profit-tree is a baseline; what they are really probing is commercial judgement and leadership presence. Our senior consulting and accountancy practitioners run case mocks with structured feedback and know the difference between a pass and a strong pass.

Behavioural interview mocks

STAR and competency-based questions, recorded with a written feedback document. UK-specific scenarios calibrated to your sector -- not Silicon Valley generics. For roles from senior IC through to director.

Technical mocks (tech)

System design, live or async coding, architecture and engineering leadership rounds. Calibrated to L4 through L7 by senior engineering practitioners with direct panel experience. Feedback documents include specific retakes for the weakest answers.

Case interview mocks (consulting)

MBB and Big Four style. Profit-tree to market-entry, M&A to operations. Structured written feedback after every session. Our coaches distinguish clearly between "acceptable" and "strong pass" so you know exactly where you stand.

Panel interview rehearsal

For clinical, academic and Civil Service roles. Full simulation of a seven to ten person panel: the chair, the clinical lead, the lay member, the HR rep. Your coach assigns roles and runs the session properly, not as a one-to-one conversation pretending to be a panel.

Final-round and partner interview prep

For senior offers where the conversation is about fit, ambition and commercial judgement rather than competencies. Stakeholder mapping, the unsaid questions, salary negotiation rehearsal. Our coaches focus on what separates a strong final-round candidate from a good one.

Bespoke role-specific prep

Have a specific employer and role in mind? Our coaches will research the company, the team structure and the likely interviewer panel before your session. The mock is built around your actual situation, not a generic stand-in.

    Free 15-minute consultation. You describe the role, the format, and where you are in the process. We match you to the right interviewer from our team.

    Pre-session brief

    You share the job description, your CV, and any notes about the company or interviewer panel. Your coach reviews everything before the session and tailors the mock accordingly.

  3. 03

    Mock interview, recorded

    45 to 90 minutes depending on format. Conducted live with your coach. We share the recording afterwards so you can review your own performance.

  4. 04

    Live debrief

    Immediately after the mock, your interviewer gives feedback as if they were the actual hiring committee. What worked. What did not. What a strong candidate does differently.

  5. 05

    Written feedback document

    Delivered within 24 hours. What worked, what did not, what to change -- with specific examples and targeted retakes for the weakest answers. This is the document you revise from before the real interview.

The unfair advantage

What good interview prep actually looks like.

Most interview prep is generic. STAR examples. Lists of common questions. Practice answers that could apply to any role at any company. That gets you to acceptable. Acceptable does not get you the offer when the field is strong.

Our interviewers calibrate you for the specific room: the actual panel composition, the unwritten selection criteria, the question behind the question. A Big Four partner interview has a different texture from an NHS medical director interview. A Civil Service SCS interview has different unspoken rules from a lateral Magic Circle move. Generic prep does not know the difference.

That is the difference between rehearsal and preparation. Rehearsal makes you smoother. Preparation makes you ready for what you will actually face.

Frequently asked questions.

How quickly can I book?
Most of our interviewers can offer a slot within five working days. Urgent same-week bookings are available on request -- email hello@findmeajob.uk with the subject line "urgent prep" and we will find someone if at all possible.
Is it confidential?
Fully. Recordings are shared only with you and deleted from our systems after 30 days unless you ask us to keep them. We do not share your name, your employer, or your interview process details with anyone.
What if I have an interview tomorrow?
Email hello@findmeajob.uk with the subject line "urgent prep" as soon as possible. We will do our best to find a same-day or next-morning slot. We cannot guarantee availability but we always try.
Do you cover non-UK roles?
Our primary focus is UK and EU roles. US roles are available by request, depending on coach availability and time zone. Some of our coaches have direct experience of US interview formats as well as UK ones.
Are interviews live with a real person or AI?
Live. With a real practitioner. Our model is explicitly anti-AI-mock. The reason our prep works is that our coaches have personally sat on the type of panel they are simulating. An AI cannot replicate that calibration.
Can I record the session for my own use?
Yes. We record all sessions by default and share the recording with you afterwards. You can keep it as long as you like for your own review.
How is this different from the coaching service?
Coaching is broad career and leadership development: positioning, long-term trajectory, visibility, promotion strategy. Interview prep is targeted, time-boxed, and specific to a live interview process. Many of our clients use both -- they are complementary, not interchangeable.
What if I do not get the role?
We offer a follow-up debrief session at 50% of the standard rate to work through what happened and rebuild your approach for the next round. We do not offer refunds, but we do invest in the next attempt.
